John qualified at the famous Guys Hospital in London and the selective Eastman Institute where he received his Masters degree in paediatric dentistry. On arrival in Australia many years ago John discovered a passion for general dentistry and has continued his lifetime of learning with continuing education in the field. John frequently attends tutorials, lectures and training sessions on advances in the field to bring the latest techniques to the Peninsula community. He has attended numerous courses on endodontics (root canal), dental implants, preventative dentistry, special needs dentistry, infection control in dentistry, Invisalign (invisible orthodontics) and minimal intervention dentistry. Most recently he was selected to study with international elite teachers Dr Newton Fahl, Dr Pasqual Mangne, Dr Ed Mclaren and Dr Gerard Chiche and is a member of the invitational Seattle Study Club. John has special interest in special needs dentistry, smile design and advanced cosmetic dentistry. Dr David Laskey joined Mornington Peninsula Dental Clinic in June 2012 after arriving from the UK. David’s qualifications include Bachelor of Dental Science (graduating in 2004 from University of Leeds), Master of Science & Endontology (graduating from 2012 from the University of Chester), Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice as well as training in Surgical and Prosthetic Implantology from the Eastman Dental Institute, (University College London).David worked for several years in both general and referral practices in Huddersfield and York in the UK. As an associate in these practices he carried out all aspects of general dentistry including basic and complex cosmetic procedures, implants, crown & bridge and veneers. Referrals of endodontic treatments within these practices and the surrounding areas were also treated by David. David now in conjunction with Dr Osborne offers treatment to be completed via General Anaesthetic at The Bays Hospital in Mornington.
